Savings Break Their Hiatus With "Stressed Out," A New Era Defined by Authenticity and Artistic Growth

After nearly two years of silence, Albuquerque alternative/pop-rock outfit Savings return with their newest single and music video, "Stressed Out" via Graveboy Records. The release is more than a reintroduction, it serves as a catalyst for a complete artistic reinvention, introducing the next chapter of a band fundamentally pivoting their art and reclaiming ownership of their creativity.

Coalescing anthemic alternative rock with polished pop hooks, and hints of hip hop influences, “Stressed Out” defines a new beginning for Savings. While the single shoves the group into uncharted territory, it remains grounded in sincere songwriting and emotional authenticity that have become their staple.

"This was a step into new territory for us,” Sam Wilmot [Vocalist] expressed, “It's a step toward where we're headed sonically while still giving a nod to our past and who we are at our core. We truly feel like this is some of our best work creatively…”

The band's previous EP, How Do You Feel?, released in August 2024, became a defining moment in their discography. While the record steered in a melodic direction, "Stressed Out" sails further, leaning into mainstream alternative-pop influences without losing the raw vulnerability that has defined the band since their inception. Following the success of the EP, Savings intentionally stepped away from releasing music. Rather than chasing the latest trends or the constant pressure to feed the content machine, the band chose to slow down, restructure and rediscover why they started making music in the first place; showing that time away was essential.
